GHX - Agile Coach

Job Opportunity: Agile Coach - Scrum Lead - Louisville

Will work with Technical Delivery Teams, Product Managers/Owners,
ScrumMasters, QA, and PMO to assist with GHX's ongoing deployment of
Agile development practices across the organization. Will work directly
with the teams to deliver training, coaching, and written documentation
on Agile practices, tools, and techniques to support our goal to produce
the highest quality software and the most efficient development teams
possible.



Will perform in the capacity of change agent, creating an environment of
continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and developing a
compelling case for change. In addition, will be responsible for
constant review of performance indicators and metrics used to measure
internal productivity, quality and other key areas.



Principle duties and responsibilities:

* Acts as champion and evangelist of the Agile process within
GHX, to include responsibility for expanding the understanding and
practice of agile principles throughout the entire organization,
including software and operations teams, and possibly external
customers.

* Manages an Agile initiative and keeps current on new trends in
other Agile practices and technology solutions designed to deliver
technology solutions.

* Collaborates directly with scrum teams to coach and guide them
on the mechanics of agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness.

* Delivers hands-on coaching of individual scrum teams in all
aspects of scrum-daily meetings, planning, self-organization,
collaboration, iterative development, etc. Assists in these meetings,
as needed.

* Creates, builds and delivers customized agile training and
internal agile tools designed to enhance team collaboration to both
internal teams and external customers.

* Exposes our technology teams to the latest innovative thinking
and ideas from the agile community to increase agility. Assists with
the rollout and training of new agile teams, as needed.

* Works directly with managers and scrum teams to remove
enterprise-wide systematic obstacles that block ability to achieve
sustainable increases in velocity and team efficiency.

* Provides agile leadership coaching and training to
ScrumMasters, Product Owners, functional managers and executives.
Facilitates general education sessions for non-development teams.

* Assists in the establishment, monitoring, and reporting of
metrics and milestones for agile teams and ScrumMasters.

* Ensures cross-organizational and multiple stakeholder
education, feedback, and consensus on Agile methodology.

* Applies an integrated process of planning and development
strategies to ensure incremental results are delivered.

* Lead a team of ScrumMasters and provide the team coaching and
mentoring.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or combination of
education and related experience.

* Certified ScrumMaster.

* 3+ years of large scale Agile coaching experience, hands-on
and practical in nature.

* 10+ years project management experience in a software
development environment.

* Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices, with the
ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the
organization.

* Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams
in the adoption and improvement of agile methodologies.

* Excellent training and presentation skills.

* Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

* Skilled in leading meetings, driving decisions, and
negotiating win/win solutions.

* Strong leadership/relationship building skills, with a
demonstrated ability to work independently.

* Excellent listening and communication skills (written and
verbal).

* A willingness to provide instruction and mentoring.



PREFERRED SKILLS:



* Coaching, training or consulting skills and experience a plus.


* Experience with diverse software technologies a plus.

* Experience leading organizational change management a plus.
