Job Description:
Duties: Provide development support for legacy applications and new
software development projects contributing to the full SDLC (software
development life-cycle). Support production applications written in JDK
5 with a Swing UI and Oracle 10g. Support new applications using
middle-tier components deployed to JBoss AS5, and other best of breed
technologies. Provide requirements gathering and analysis, design,
coding, unit testing, and deployment. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors of Science degree from four-year college or university in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2-4
years of JAVA development experience using J2SE (JDK´s 4, 5 and 6) and
J2EE (JavaEE 5,6). JAVA/Oracle experience with some exposure to Web
technologies and quality assurance efforts. One year of work experience
with the following: Swing, working and interfacing applications with
databases (preferably Oracle), and application servers such as JBoss,
WebLogic, or WebSphere. Test driven development using JUnit is
preferable.
The following experience beneficial: Agile development, OR mapping
(preferably using Hibernate), SOA, Eclipse or related IDE, and SVN.
US Citizenship and background investigation required.
Annual salary for this position will be approximately 53k with full
benefit package
