The System Analyst test software, device configuration and exploration as well as data troubleshooting, customer care handling and ad hoc duties required to ensure high quality software delivery. Document, communicate software processing requirements and track requirements. Work closely with the development team to test system for defects and enhancements and identify and prioritize testing accomplishments using the Agile Development SCRUM Methodology. Maintain information systems and software, including problem identification, analysis, testing, and implementation. Function as high level support technician for customers of the Starz Play product and the Starz.com web site. Perform major functions of the software testing lifecycle including the creation and execution of test plans for system, application, and user acceptance testing. Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing beyond pre-existing test cases. Enter and query defects in defect tracking database. Perform data analysis and data testing using SQL queries. Author user guides. Perform training to end users if necessary.

Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field or similar discipline; Four years related experience; Minimum two years of software/Quality Assurance testing experience; And/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with end-customers over the phone, email and in person. High level understanding of enterprise software, .net, Java and J2EE technologies. Experience with software development lifecycles: agile, waterfall, Rational Unified Process (RUP), etc. Experience in testing N-tier distributed applications; object-oriented design, web services, server platform, and XML preferred. Experience with JIRA and Greenhopper preferred. Experience with Quick Test Pro preferred. Understanding of Relational Databases; ability to write basic SQL queries. Strong communication and problem solving skills.
