Applied Trust - System Administrator

Applied Trust provides IT security and network/systems infrastructure consulting services that help our clients maximize their IT investment in the areas of security, performance, and availability, while reducing cost and ecological impact. Applied Trust is looking for a System Administrator with a broad skill set to add to our industry recognized team of consultants. Although we do not partner with vendors so we can provide the best customized solutions for our customers, knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Microsoft platforms is preferred. Key contributions of a System Administrator at Applied Trust include:
-Designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems.
-Performing security, performance, and availability assessments.
-Managing and resolving open IT issues.
-Evaluating and implementing new technology.
-Debugging user-reported problems.
-Monitoring systems and networks.

Applied Trust requires a four-year degree for our engineering positions and a BS or MS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or ECE is preferred, as is a Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCITP, or Red Hat RHCE certification. We are looking for System Administrators with a solid system and network foundation that are comfortable working with clients. This usually equates to 2-4 years of experience working as a system administrator in a client-facing environment. This position requires excellent troubleshooting, planning, time management, and communication skills.
