Description: Great-West Retirement Services is currently hiring a Software Systems Engineer to join our Reporting and Data Services team of professionals in our Financial Services Systems area. Great-West is a leader in the defined contribution record-keeping services industry.
This Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing of custom, ad hoc and production reports in a Business Objects Enterprise and Oracle database environment. This position will be under general direction within a project team environment and require analyzing data requirements and developing application programs to support the Reporting environment of the Financial Services line of business. Responsibilities will include the analysis, design and development of reporting solutions based on business requirements.
Position Requires:
- Related technical degree (e.g. computer science, math, etc.) is required with one to two years computer programming experience. Without a Specialized Bachelors degree, an additional three to four years directly related experience is required.
- Strong analysis, design and development abilities with programming experience using Oracle 10g database and PL/SQL.
- Experience with UNIX.
- Business Objects Enterprise XI, including Crystal Reports.
- Prior experience with Dimensional data modeling, Data Warehousing, ETL, PRO*C and PERL would be considered a plus.
