Test engineer to develop and execute strategy - emphasis on automation

We have an opportunity for a results-oriented test engineer to join and be an integral part of our testing team. Within this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our test strategy with a large emphasis on automation. Other duties include performing functional, system and regression testing. Qualified candidates must be experienced in all aspects of the QA lifecycle including project planning, creating test approaches and developing automation, as well as effectively communicating project test status.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the sciences, or equivalent experience
Solid understanding of QA methodologies
5+ years of experience in product testing
Must be experienced in an object-oriented programming language such as C++ or Java; IDL experience a plus
Solid understanding of debugging concepts
User or testing experience with Remote Sensing or GIS applications
Well-versed in software development lifecycles
Good communication and organizational skills
Self-starter with the ability to multitask
Prefer experience in developing automation!
Multiple operating system experience preferred; we currently support Linux, Solaris, Mac OS and all Windows-supported platforms
