IT Technical Project Manager (Westminster, CO) Our ideal candidate is someone willing to consider fulltime employment after the 9 to 12 month contract period

Trimble is seeking an IT Technical Project Manager to be the primary point of contact and provide operations support to business units and mission critical hosted application projects

Essential Job Functions:
•Create and maintain project plans covering the implementation and transition to operation of infrastructure and application hosting projects.

•Manage day-to-day project-related activities. Projects include new product development and deployment activities, and special customer-specific projects.

•Manage multiple projects in parallel, setting priorities within each project, and seeking necessary agreements with resource managers and application and asset owners on engineering and other needed resources for the projects.

•Actively seek out input from all THS and customer parties (program managers, system engineers, network engineers, database engineers, account managers, system architects, resource managers, etc.) to create the project plan, and obtain agreement from all parties to the plan and provide project and risk status reports to THS program management and line management.

•Foster professionalism in the team by demonstrating proper people management skills, including persuasion, conflict resolution, problem escalation process, and documentation of key issues and a strong sense of commitment. Cross-organization collaboration to produce results is required.

Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience managing systems in an enterprise; mission critical environment

•5+ years of project management experience, specifically managing IT infrastructure implementation projects

•Experience managing software development life cycles for ASP applications

•MS Project, Visio, and MS Office proficiency

•Self-managed, self-starter able to work in rapidly changing environment.

•Flexibility to work off-hours to support global project teams and to manage system changes during planned maintenance windows.

•Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude

•Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
 
•Ability to travel 10% to THS customer sites

Preferred Skills:
•ITIL or PMP certifications

•Support the division Information Security Management System (ISMS) by participating in security training and awareness, risk assessment, and business continuity planning
