RTP’s award-winning Interactive team is looking for an experienced Sr. .NET Developer /Tech Lead with excellent ASP.NET and C# skills to join our team. Candidate must have a craving for cutting-edge web development, a great attitude, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the fun and exciting work that our team produces.
This leader must have extensive experience in all aspects of web development, including the design, development, testing and maintenance of web applications. They must lead the team to ensure that standards are being followed, frameworks are being re-used where appropriate, and that projects meet budgetary and technical goals.
This position is located in our Denver, CO office and reports to Chad Steele, the Technical Director of RTP’s Interactive division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the architecture, technical design, and build of websites following guidelines and project requirements exactly.
• Mentor junior developers on business and technical processes and requirements.
• Develop frameworks of re-usable, extensible code and components to maximize development efficiency.
• Keep time focused towards billable work.
• Complete projects on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
• Ensure a positive working environment by being approachable, answering questions as clearly as possible, and ensuring that answers are understood.
• Assist Project Managers with scope and time estimates for various jobs.
• Assist with code reviews to ensure architecture and coding standards are met across all web projects.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years experience as .NET web developer (C# and ASP.NET).
• 5+ years experience with Javascript and frameworks such as jQuery.
• 5+ years experience with CSS.
• 5+ years MS SQL Server experience.
• 4+ years experience working with XML & XSLT.
• 2+ years classic ASP and/or other development technologies (ColdFusion, PHP, JSP, etc.).
• 2+ years experience developing against Content Management Systems (experience with .NET-based CMSes such as Sitecore or Umbraco is preferred).
• Demonstrated experience developing AJAX-based applications.
• Demonstrated understanding of web services (SOAP, WCF, RESTful feeds, etc.).
• Experience with Flash and ActionScript 2/3 is preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering web development projects to specification and on time.
• Working knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Self-starter with proven initiative
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and co-workers.
• Effective leadership skills and the ability to mentor more junior developers.

The Web Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining web sites within the RTP Interactive Internet platform.
