Job Summary
The position of Lead Developer is primarily responsible for developing highly scalable and reliable enterprise-level distributed web-based applications. This position will have responsibility for their development projects and the opportunity to be a mentor for other developers.
Job Duties
* Participate in the system design at an architectural level while also writing code for a system that has a real impact on the mortgage industry.
* Part of a small committee that will evaluate, test and implement new technologies.
* Write significant components of ASP.NET/C# code for our web based products.
* Evaluating change requests and determining the impact of those changes to the assigned systems.
* Identifying, analyzing and resolving problems with existing applications
* Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and repairing new and existing .NET WinForms and ASP.Net applications;
* Mentor and collaborate with other developers on the design and development for all projects, not just those assigned.
* Participate in the development of our analytical capabilities including advanced data mining/reporting and scoring model development.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong database skills - Microsoft SQL (T-SQL, stored procedures, etc)
* Exposure to all aspects of the AGILE software development lifecycle'
* Success multi-tasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
* Must be able to work individually and as part of a diverse team
* Meticulous attention to detail - Ability to communicate clearly with various levels of management - Project management, organization, and follow-through skills
Education and Experience
* Experience developing database driven web applications (8+ years);
* Experience with object-oriented development techniques (8+ years);
* Experience with .NET 2.0/3.5/4.0 features
* Experience with C# and VB.NET (8+ years);
* ASP.NET (8+years);
* ASP.NET MVC (2+years);
* Experience as a team lead for database driven application development projects (5+ years);
* Experience with 3-tiered logical/physical architected applications (5+ years);
* Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (5+ years);
* Experience with screen/web layout and design (5+ years);
* Experience with automated unit testing;
* Experience working with users to gather and document business requirements.
