Public Service Credit Union has an Application Developer position open now for a developer experienced with Symitar. This position is located in the South Denver Metro area and is Full-time with a generous benefits package.
The Application Developer is responsible for working with internal customers to design, develop, test, implement and maintain complex technology solutions. Provide application design, development and enhancements to the suite of products used by PSCU including: the core processing system (Symitar) using PowerOn Scripting, Symforms, other third party applications, and web-based applications. Additionally, the Developer is responsible for software integration and external application interface development involving third party platforms. Provide timely solutions consistent with the technology plan in a professional manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide new efficiencies, reports, improve workflow processes, correct data errors, automate manual processes, and respond timely to compliance issues.
2. Research and test new software applications.
3. Review and maintain existing code to ensure compliance and end user functionality.
4. Develop enhancements for existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improved efficiencies.
5. Evaluate and test vendor-supplied software packages for compatibility with existing systems, ease of use, and determine if software meets user needs and supports organizational priorities.
6. Provide technical support to analyze user requests and translate into useful automated processes and/or reports.
7. Gather information through research, organize data, design workflow, write technical specifications, write specific code, test, validate and complete user requests.
8. Maintain systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.
9. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Three to five years of relevant development experience. Prefer demonstrated knowledge and experience in current programming languages including C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL server.
Knowledge of the Symitar environment and its associated technologies, such as Report Generator (PowerOn), SymForm, and SYMCONNECT are strongly desired although not required. Any SharePoint development experience is also a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Professional Certification in related relevant field with emphasis on development OR equivalent combination of education and experience in development.
