We do it all: Database work, application work, web work, etc. Whether it's JAVA or .NET that you prefer, we have it. We embrace object oriented principles. We develop web and html applications. We work with XML and CSS. If SQL and relational databases are attractive to you, we check that box. We play with massive amounts of data (multiple TBs) in our state-of- the-art, highly secure data center. Data geeks: We support 3 different databases: Oracle, SQL server and Netezza. Our technical teams work closely in a scrum style enabling us to learn from everyone's experience. Collaboration is highly encouraged and valued. From a test automation perspective, we employ the latest and greatest open source test automation tools and technologies: Selenium, web driver and Cucumber just to name a few. We have some new initiatives in the works so we are looking for a rockstar SQL Developer to drive the development, tuning and execution of a major data project. We've got the project, just need the person. You will work within an agile delivery team therefore, previous working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies are super important. This position will requires you to review, interpret, and develop against business requirements that will help us deliver new products and features to our Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 customers. You will need to have a good understanding of the following: SQL query writing, SQL performance tuning, ANSI92 SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc. You will also need to understand the concepts of loading or migrating data from one database platform to another. We value skill sets in which will allow someone to be flexible within their working environment and have the willingness to take on new initiatives and tasks within their Agile development team.
We are expecting you will have an extensive background in multiple database technologies (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc) and can write SQL appropriate for each of these database technologies. You will be expected to write comprehensive SQL programs to load data within our core application systems.
