Warehouse group is to work with all departments within EchoStar to
define requirements so that I may create a new data warehouse schema
for call data. I am the technical lead for this project. This

that the Data Warehouse can store meaningful data to all
departments. I also am responsible for other projects for the Data
Warehouse ranging from research and analysis, reporting, and
interaction among other departments to meet the data warehouse design
modifications and reporting requirements defined.

Responsibilities as a Data Analyst was to validate and cleanse

Responsibilities as a Database Designer was to design an MS Access
database, using UML methodology, to bridge between three other

map/correlate related data between the three databases, but assist in
defining corrupted data records for cleansing.

A second project for which I was assigned was to begin writing a
training and user manual for the use of Compiere software, for which
Arltech is a partner. Compiere is an accounting package using Oracle
10g as the database backend.

conventions and business rules, and the design of a relational
database, using UML methodology, as well as data scrubbing and
validation of data supplied to us by those companies for whom
WestMed, Inc. has a contract. I wrote all pertinent technical
documentation including the Requirements Analysis, Database
Specification, Data Dictionary, and a User Manual. I also created a

and IGS, Inc. in Boulder. My team's responsibilities included
requirements analysis, standardizing naming conventions,
standardizing business rules, logical and physical design of a

a few telecommunications firms, such as MCI and WinStar. All
projects included my team and I performing requirements analysis,

MS Access, and writing all related documentation. Where a redesign
was required, we were also responsible for data mapping, reformatting
the existing data, and loading it into the new table structures via
SQL*Loader. For each project, my team and I worked closely with our
client to gather information and held weekly status meetings with
them. Databases designed during this time were for satellite
communications (defense and telecommunications), the Presidential
budget at the C3I level, financial information for the Department of
Education, military relocation, justice information (Health and Human
Services and the intelligence sector), and an information database
utilized by the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

IV&V standards, as well as writing testing procedures for two
databases we had designed.

Between August 1990 and December 1990, I also wrote my first book on
Oracle SQL for v5.1 as well as designed and created a corresponding
database to the book to offer hands on training to other employees.

Between May 1989 and July 1989, using a graphics software package, I
designed and created a computer based training package for the NAVSEA
project for which I was associated. This tool allowed the end user
to be trained to use the database our team had designed and developed
for them. They would be able to install this on their PC and refer
to it as a refresher from the classroom training they had received.
The tool emulated the database menus and forms as well as the Help
and Error messages. Quizzes were included at the end of each section.
