Job Description � Delphi Software Developer, Contract to Hire
Maintain NewsGator's premiere Delphi applications, TopStyle and
FeedDemon. The initial project will focus on the development of the
next major release of TopStyle, the world class HTML and CSS editor.
A future project will be to assume the maintenance of FeedDemon, the
most popular Windows RSS reader. The candidate should expect software
coding to be the primary function of this position, working under
guidance from the creator of both products.
Qualifications
� BS/MS Computer Science or related discipline and/or equivalent
experience
� Strong software engineering and problem solving skills
� 5+ years experience building commercial Windows desktop applications
with Delphi 4 (or later)
� 2+ years of commercial experience using HTML and CSS
� Strong UI design skills
� Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into
technical designs
� Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to
meet critical project deadlines
� Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct
management
Work Conditions
� Prefer local candidate to work on-site at NewsGator facilities.
� Would consider the right telecommuting arrangement. (non-local US
candidates only)
