We are looking for a professional Wireless Systems Administrator II to
join our team. This position is responsible for the proper sizing,
installation and day-to-day operations of multiple hardware and
software
mission critical platforms in addition to ensuring the proper
functioning of the hardware and software. Responsible for installation,
configuration, and maintenance as well as data application systems and
underlying databases associated with 911 data. Maintains the highest
level of systems integrity by monitoring application software and
resolving application failures.

Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a
related
field and 5 or more years experience in specialization on managed
systems in telecommunication or wireless industries; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. This position requires 24x7 on
call support rotation schedule. The candidate must possess in depth
UNIX
and or TANDEM system administration experience; for example:
understanding the file system, file handleling, loading and licensing
software. Should possess an in depth understanding of networked or
distributed computing environment concepts; for example: TCP/IP.
Qualified candidates must have a strong conceptual understanding of the
OSI model, and will be able to apply that knowledge in a TCP/IP and
SS7/SIP Environment. Intermediate experience writing scripts in some
administrative language (SQL, Perl, vi, shells). Candidate must also
possess experience analyzing system capacity reports to make
appropriate
business decisions and recommendations to management. Position provides
support to internal and external customers. Excellent written and
verbal
communications expected as well as commitment to quality and customer
satisfaction.
