Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops test plans by defining an approach, writing a
plan, and reviewing them, and creation of test cases in support of
those
plans.
· Reviews, updates, and estimates software requests along
with Change Requests.
· Provides product packaging by assisting in the generation
of release notes and test results.
· Provides test execution by maintaining simulated
environment, fulfilling system integration, executing test case
specifications, re-testing any fixes from development and producing a
test summary report.
· Complies with department and corporate processes that
support Intrado's quality program and the ISO9001:2000 standard.
· Complies with the letter and spirit of the Intrado
Information Security Policy.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or related field and 2-3 years experience in software
testing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 2 years experience with computers and system
utilities.
· Demonstrated experience in test bed set up and
configurations.
· Experience testing Client/Server and J2EE applications.
· Experience testing software and applications in an Agile
and/or traditional SDLC model.
· CSQE, CSTE or Mercury Interactive Test Tool Certification
a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of telecommunications and related protocols
including PRI NI2, CAMA, SS7 etc…
· Knowledge VoIP related protocols (SIP and RTP etc…)
· Knowledge of one or more of the VoIP network elements
(i.e. Sonus switch, Soft switches, SBC, Media Servers and Media
Gateways, Cisco network elements)
· Familiar with test tools (Empirix Hammer, INET Spectra
load generators or similar products used in trunk and VoIP testing)
· Intermediate knowledge of UNIX.
· Excellent skills in writing and presenting test plans,
test cases, and test results.
· Proven work experience with automated test tools suites,
preferably:
o TestDirector and other Mercury products
o Other similar tools
· Working knowledge of the production and execution of
automated test scripts.
· Intermediate knowledge of databases and ability to query
databases for information.
