Focus on delivering availability and performance throughout VictorOps’ server, network and desktop environments.
Install, configure and support Linux servers, supporting network equipment, and Macintosh, Windows and Linux desktop systems.
Work with software engineers in a Devops environment to architect, deliver, and scale the VictorOps platform.
Manage production, staging, and development environments using an “infrastructure as code” systems management framework.
Configure and maintain a wide variety of monitoring tools for troubleshooting and capacity planning.
Provision and support systems running on various public cloud platforms.
24/7 on-call in rotation with the rest of the Devops staff.
Requirements:
7 or more years of experience supporting Linux systems in a 24/7 production environment.
Experience with systems management frameworks (Puppet, Chef, Cfengine), and working in an “infrastructure as code” paradigm, including a familiarity with SCM.
Excellent communications skills, and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams to achieve business goals.
Experience managing network infrastructure (Brocade/Foundry preferred).
Experience working with public and private cloud infrastructure and virtualization tools (KVM, OpenStack preferred).
