Description
We are looking for Front End Developers who are passionate about usability, interaction, accessibility, and technology. They should excel at working with multidisciplinary teams to develop great user experiences for our client base. Web developers work with designers, developers, project managers, product managers, and business owners to develop the next generation of our web-based products and services. They also help evaluate and continuously improve our existing systems.
Responsibilities
• Translate wireframes and sketches into working prototypes to refine interface behaviors.
• Build and maintain front-end libraries and frameworks.
• Participate in user-centered research through client focus groups, interviews, usage analysis, and rapid prototyping.
• Debug and troubleshoot layout and scripting issues across a variety of browsers including IE 7+, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
• Work with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end code, ensuring design integrity.
Requirements
• 5 years experience with website front end coding and interaction design
• Proven knowledge of standards-compliant, responsive design, cross-browser compatible CSS, JavaScript and JQuery, including CSS3 and HTML 5
• Capable of converting Photoshop mock ups into CSS/ templates for back end developer's use
• Skilled with image optimization
• Experience working on large-scale web initiatives
• Strong understanding of usability and accessibility issues, including understanding how to code for 508 compliance
• Understanding of Content Management Systems and the rendering differences compared to HTML
• Knowledge of SEO optimization techniques
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience with social media, and mobile technologies preferred
• Understanding of and experience implementing Internationalization (I18N) or Localization (L10N) preferred
• Experience with Bootstrap a plus
