HomeAdvisor - Accounting Manager

Job Description
HomeAdvisor, headquartered just west of downtown Denver, CO, is an online marketplace connecting homeowners with prescreened and customer-rated home service professionals. Over the last few years, our business has continuously expanded, and we now own both domestic and international subsidiaries. With that growth, we are seeking a highly-motivated professional to play the critical role of Manager, International Finance and Accounting. With operations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, this Manager will be HomeAdvisor's primary U.S. point of contact for international finance and accounting.

In this role, you'll lead data-driven decision making for the company by:
* Developing models to forecast and report on financials and key business drivers
* Monitoring performance metrics, surfacing trends and performing research and analysis to understand influencing factors
* Using Excel expertise to analyze data and present results effectively
* Communicating results of analysis in business terms
* Using SQL and database expertise to ensure integrity of data

As part of leading the company's analysis and reporting, you'll also:
* Coordinate reporting, planning, and forecasting, including in-depth business trend analysis
* Model and analyze new business opportunities
* Follow through on execution of recommendations
* Analyze key business initiatives
* Consolidate multi-currency financial statements in USD (local currency accounting and reporting managed by local teams)
* Work extensively with HomeAdvisor U.S. and International executive teams
* Serve as primary U.S. liaison between international subsidiaries and our parent company (IAC) by communicating financial results and outlook, and acting as liaison on tax and treasury issues between parent company and international subsidiaries

What makes HomeAdvisor great?
* We were recently named one of Denver's Top Workplaces by the Denver Post. We're known for a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is flexible and focused on productivity. Things you'll find here: jeans and sneakers, well-equipped game rooms, a bike share program, and on-site fitness classes. Need we say more?
* We have a progressive ": take what you need": paid time-off policy. Instead of accruing vacation and/or sick time, you literally take the time you need to recharge (within reason). Add that to a well-rounded package of health and welfare benefits that kick in within 30 days of your first day, and you know that our employees are important to us.

Experience and Skills:
Our ideal Manager will have the following experience and skills:
* Expert skills in Excel reporting, modeling and statistical analysis
* Detail-oriented
* Able to extract insight from data, and translate the analysis into actionable ideas
* Ability to understand and communicate complex business concepts, both verbally and in writing
* Database experience and understanding of database structure (SQL experience a plus)
* Understanding of, and ability to apply, accounting theory and GAAP
* International accounting experience with consolidation of multi-currency statements is a plus
* Ability to collaborate and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
* Action-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and turnaround requests in short order
* Ability to multi-task in pressure situations
* Ability to prioritize and work independently to accomplish several goals concurrently
* 3-7 years experience in business and financial analysis
* BA required, advanced degree or CPA preferred
