Sr. Database Administrator
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of creating, designing, and developing
logical and physical database tables to ensure data is protected according to departmental
policies and procedures, including troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
* Bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science, information systems,
electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field related is required. Equivalent
work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience
* Minimum two years increasingly responsible experience in computer science or MIS to
include database administration required.
* Minimum one year lead or project management experience required
Technical
* Based on area of responsibility and departmental need, knowledge of: one program
platform (Tandem OS, UNIX) is required and one year experience SQL fundamentals
(e.g., Tandem SQL, Informix, FOCUS, IMB DB2, NT SQL Server) is required
* Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
*Oracle Streams, RAC, and Data guard experience preferred.
