Summary:
The Database Architect/Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing an architecture to support the migration of the RescueNet databases to a single common integrated, fully relational database suitable for SaaS implementation.  The DBE is also responsible for developing and implementing procedures, standards, and protocols to enable the development team to interact with the database in the during the development cycle while still maintaining the integrity of the database.  Platform is MS SQL/.NET

Responsibilities:

  *  Act as Subject Matter Expert and Thought Leader with regards to the migration of the RescueNet database from stand-alone client/server implementations to a fully integrated SaaS model.
  *  Responsible for developing a database architecture that supports a high availability SaaS model.  This will include the implementation of fault tolerance and disaster recovery strategies as well as rollback provisions and optimized upgrade and maintenance protocols and procedures.
  *  Responsible for being a thought leader in "NextGeneration" database architecture concepts and for working collaboratively with the engineering staff to develop a like minded culture.
  *  Responsible for database optimization and integrity.
  *  Work with development team leads and software engineers to develop flexible yet robust standards, procedures, and protocols that will enable the R&D organization to access the database elements in the development cycle.
  *  Responsible for ensuring that developed solutions are scalable and reliable
  *  Responsible for implementing a pragmatic and collaborative approach to database access and architecture.
  *  Responsible for developing best practices with regards to the RescueNet database.  Responsible for collaborating with others on these best practices and for training others.

Required Skills:

  *  5+ years of experience in a professional MS SQL/.NET environment.
  *  3+ years of database architecture/engineering experience.
  *  Experience with high availability, hosted solutions
  *  Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and to work well on a team
  *  Demonstrated ability to work across development teams
  *  Creative thinker with a "NextGen" mindset
  *  Demonstrated ability to be pragmatic and "open" when it comes to developing protocols for database access

Software Test Engineers  - Automated Testing (2 positions open)

Job Description:

The Software Test Engineers will work on a team responsible for full lifecycle testing of ZOLL's web based applications.  In this role, this individual will help to develop processes and procedures to further the company's capabilities in automated testing and to help to move the company from a manual testing to an automated testing environment.  This person will be responsible for testing all layers of an n-tiered Microsoft web based suite of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*        Read and interpreted functional (marketing) and technical (development) specifications and develop comprehensive test plans designed to perform functional and load testing.  Functional testing should include edge and routine cases, data entry error, program logic errors, exceptions, etc).

*        Design, develop, and trouble shoot automated test scripts using web based automated test tools to validate the technical and functional integrity of web based components.  This will include stored procedures, services, and web apps.

*        Configure test environments including Microsoft web servers, web browsers, MS SQL, and application installations.  Configurations may include medical devices and communications devices such as serial modems, heart monitors, and other devices.

*        Responsible for testing on .NET and IOS platforms utilizing IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox as clients

*        Run and monitor test scripts on test environment.  Interpret the resulting error logs and other output results.  Trouble-shoot results to determine if the error is an engineering error or an error in the test script and/or database utilizing MS SQL and other data query tools.

*        Create simulators as necessary to create test data streams for I/O devices such as heart monitors, GPS devices, in-vehicle navigations systems, and proprietary devices.

*        Collaborate as a member of a highly functional R&D team to perform testing on multiple applications and move from application team to application team as necessary.

*        Adhere to professional standards regarding documentation, project management, quality, communication, and teamwork.

Requirements:

*        5+ years of experience performing Quality Engineering work in a software development organization.

*        Ability to read and interpret professional, documented .NET code

*        Ability to develop test scripts at a highly proficient level including tools such as VB Script, PERL, Rational Robot, Seque, and current web technologies.

*        Demonstrated success with full lifecycle Quality Engineering including test plan design and error log troub-shooting.

*        Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science highly desirable.

Summary:
The .NET engineer will participate in developing various quality SaaS applications that will share a common database in a collaborative team environment.  The engineer will work through the entire lifecycle and requires in dept understanding of industry best practices with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

*            Utilize object oriented design, development, and debugging skills to implement web applications that retrieve, transport, and deliver sensitive customer data to a centralized, secure data repository.
*            Work with individual product teams and review product data dictionaries to develop a comprehensive understanding of the RescueNet enterprise data set.  Develop a database model that incorporates reportable data elements from the various product databases and resolves inconsistencies in data treatment across product lines.
*            Work with development team to create a user-friendly, web-based application to support business intelligence functions.
*            Adhere to established ZOLL engineering standards with regards to UI development, database access, documentation standards, and development methodology.
*            Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high quality products.
*            Utilize organizational process control systems.
*            Collaboratively participate in team meetings as necessary.
*            Responsible for ensuring that assignments are delivered on schedule and in accordance with ZOLL quality standards.  Responsible for test plans and/or unit testing.

Required Skills:

*            4+ years of experience in a professional MS SQL/.NET environment OR Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
*            Strong business acumen - able to understand the business problems that our technology is created to solve
*            Demonstrated ability to effectively implement web services, .NET and database applications
*            Strong acumen for database design and optimization
*            Proficiency with ASP.NET, Fluent in Object-Oriented Programming with C#.
Some proficiency with WCF, MVC3, XML, WPF, T-SQL, MS-SQL Server and SOAP is preferred.

Position Summary:  Installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer networks by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Duties:
*        Improve service delivery with respect to deployment of systems infrastructure
*        Streamline the provisioning of multiple data center assets
*        Drive systems monitoring improvements for applications hosted at off-site data center
*        Assist in the development of best practices for management of data center systems as it relates to HIPAA audits
*        Participate in critical incident management and root cause analysis
*        Create an efficient process for managing critical infrastructure including escalation, communication and root cause determination
*        Attend service review meetings and assist with measurement of vendor compliance with service level delivery targets.
*        Take an active role in change management process, ensuring that all submission and execution controls are adhered to for operational changes.
*        Assign tasks to remote site data center technicians
*        Ensure that production issues that warrant escalation are escalated to appropriate staff
*        Position will offer career-benefitting exposure to a wide range of IT support activities.
*        Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

Education:
*        Some college coursework or college degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience
*        Microsoft certifications in SQL Server are highly desirable

Experience:

  *  3+ years of work in an IT data center
  *  Must have experience with these VMWare tools- vSphere server, Virtual Infrastructure client, vCenter Server and Lab Manager
  *  Must have experience with monitoring software, Paessler PRTG or Nagios
  *  Technology service delivery and support
  *  Management of high availability systems which process confidential information
  *  Server and asset provisioning in a data center

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
*        Microsoft SQL Server administration
*        Microsoft IIS web server installation and configuration
*        Web server load balancing technologies
*        VMWare ESX Server management and familiarity with VMWare Infrastructure tools
*        Knowledge of the principles of service support as defined in the ITIL framework and experience implementing ITIL practices
*        Solid communication and problem solving skills
*        Ability to work unsupervised
*        Ability to work extended hours - position requires participation in after hours on call rotation
*        Ability to multi task and prioritize
