This position will be playing a significant role in supporting mid-tier business component applications developing business applications.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of software development experience
Experience with Pro*C, C, or C#, C++
Experience with JAVA /J2EE programming
Experience with a relational database query language such as Oracle SQL
Responsibilities:participates key portions of the software development lifecycle
The majority of this role will concentrate on development and support of functionality within the Benefits and Loans applications for the FASCore retirement plan record keeping system.

Required Skills:
Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools
Good understanding of Oracle Forms, Pro*C, and Data Modeler & Subversion is desired
Understanding of DataGuard, RAC, Materialized Views, Change Data Capture a plus
Knowledge and experience with scripting (Perl, C Shell)
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
A good understanding of the underlying operating system (mostly UNIX)
A good knowledge of the physical database design (including partitioning)
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
A good knowledge of Oracle security management
A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources
A good knowledge of Oracle data integrity
Sound knowledge of the applications systems at your site
A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning
Good communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators
Provide a strategic database direction for the organization
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Responsibilities:Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle RDBMS software and related products
Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
Assist with Database design and implementation questions
Maintain database security (per ISP documentation and best practices)
Do database tuning and performance monitoring
Assist with application tuning and performance monitoring
Maintain and update documentation and standards
Assist wtih planning growth and changes (capacity planning)
Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support (participate in on-call rotation)
Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
