Job Responsibilities
Are you a skilled and self-motivated IT systems analyst and/or administrator? Do you enjoy working with the latest leading-edge technology? Does being involved in the expansion of our IT infrastructure interest you? If you answered yes, then perhaps this is the opportunity for you.
As a key member of the IT team, you will be a key contributor in the design of systems to support business processes. You will facilitate communication between software developers, business analysts and stakeholders. As you contribute to the development of software solutions that combine knowledge of business and technology process and issues, you will also create design documents that include functional and technical specifications as well as document current and future software architecture. You will also have the opportunity to research, inform and recommend opportunities to apply appropriate technology solutions to support business needs.
Experience/Skills Required
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in analysis and software development with a focus on data analysis
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase
• Proven experience writing complex SQL queries to troubleshoot, analyze, and map data flows between system integration points using UML
• Proven ability to design both relational and star schemas that support transactional and data warehouse applications
• Working knowledge of database development, stored procedures, and data integration with web servers and components
• Proven ability to define information systems architecture and design system integration solutions and to write functional and technical specifications
• Ability to express technical concepts that are understandable to the business
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• US Citizenship
• Up to 10% travel
Preferences:
• Experience as a team lead or in a development management role preferred
• Experience in a service related industry (cable, satellite, ISP, telecommunications)
• Experience in high speed data, provisioning, DOCSIS, Billing and CRM
