Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer

This key position is responsible for working with business clients and internal Data Warehouse resources to design and deliver critical business reporting and analytics. This position demands a self starter who is able to use their initiative to quickly understand requirements and then envision innovative solutions. We are looking for someone who can quickly pickup a variety of software skillsets and produce results. The right candidate should possess solid skills in at least one of our current BI platform tools: ESSBASE  and some SSRS reporting as well. The ideal candidate should be strong in Essbase but should also have some experiencing in developing reports in SSRS.

Job Duties and Responsibilities  

•Interact daily with the Enterprise and DW Architects, Business and Systems Analysts, and project teams to create dashboards and highly formatted business reports.
•Multi-task across concurrent projects that may include the evaluation of new technologies as required.
•Produce technical documentation.
•Plan for and respond to rapidly changing requirements.
Education and Experience  

•Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required, or equivalent experience
•Extensive experience in reports and dashboards design and development, functional analysis, gap analysis and quality assurance
•Experience developing in Teradata, Oracle , SQL Server or Netezza databases
•Experience creating application interfaces utilizing .NET , JavaScript or JAVA
•3 to 5 years in Experience in ESSBASE 11.
•1 to 2 years experience with SQL Server reporting services (version 2005 or 2008 R2)
Skills and Qualifications  

•UNIX, Java, Javascript, SQL, PLSQL, SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting/Analysis Services
•Must have experience working in one or more of the following BI tools or platforms such as Hyperion /Microsoft BI
•Familiarity with ETL design and development , data modeling techniques and BI development best practices.
•Must have strong technical trouble shooting, oral and writing communication, project/task management, and leadership skills.
•This person will need to be able to learn quickly, to work in a fast-paced team-driven environment, and to communicate well with business and technical personnel.
•Should have strong experience  communicating the status to the manager, solving technical problems within the team, effort estimation process and creating a  project status report .
•Must be comfortable at interacting and communicating with all levels inside and outside of the IT department
•Experienced with the development of large-scale database systems.
•Extensive knowledge of Teradata, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.
•Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of BI applications.
