Major Job Responsibilities:
* Daily work assignments from the business community projects
which include, but are not limited to, bugs, enhancements to existing
systems, new systems, new reports, mass data changes, runtime errors, or
UI Design.
* Follow up and help with QA testing efforts in order to get
timely project deployments.
* Research, recognize and correctly modify existing code which
is affected by the assigned project or task.
* Solve problems and overcome obstacles in order to succeed on
assigned projects and tasks.
* Attend meetings for the purpose of requirements gathering,
doing in depth analysis of those requirements, define the project scope,
design the system and write the programs.
* Useful and meaningful documentation.
* Managing multiple tasks, projects simultaneously.
* Recommend Database design on assigned projects & tasks.
* Meet deadlines.
* Follow development department coding standards.
* Follow development department practices which include, but are
not limited to, a weekly project update by project to the Manager of
Production Development, a monthly application development log, written
analysis and design documents, work order procedure.
* Recognizing and correcting problems found in existing code
during maintenance.
* Prevent corruption or loss of live system data.
* Learn and become skilled in other environments as required by
changes in business direction or Software Development Department
infrastructure.
Qualifications:
* 5 + years in VB.NET/C#/ASP.Net development.
* 5 + years in ASP development.
* 5 + years working with SQL Server (2000/2005).
* Comfortable developing User Interfaces with graphic layout
tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Expression, Adobe Flash.
* Silverlight/WPF knowledge.
* Ability to function in both small teams and independently.
* Comfortable requesting guidance from senior developers/DBAs.
* Ability to deal with changes in requirements.
* Logical & meaningful Flow Charting.
* Experience with MS XO, Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Source
Control.
* Proven ability to design, develop, test and implement business
applications.
