We are currently recruiting candidates to fill the following position:
Web Apps Developer
We are actively recruiting an experienced web developer with solid
knowledge and experience in PHP and MySQL, as well as Perl, web servers,
applications servers, and database servers.
Responsibilities include:
Design and develop PHP web apps (80%) and serve as back-up to
Network/Storage Systems Admin (20%)
Interface with product management and project management on an as-needed
basis.
Ensure that all technology services and solutions meet business needs
for reliability, performance, and security.
Support, troubleshoot, and maintain production systems in order to
optimize performance, resolve problems, and provide timely follow-up on
identified issues.
Think creatively and suggest alternative development solutions.
Desired qualifications include:
2 - 3 years developing web-based applications using PHP and experience
with -or ability to quickly learn- Perl
Solid hands-on experience in the design, development and day-to-day
support of the following technologies: Unix, Linux, MySQL, and Apache
High degree of skill with e-commerce technologies such as XML, XSL,
HTML, DHTML, CSS, JS, PHP
Experience with one or more version control systems such as CVS, SVN,
etc.
Strong communication skills required
Willingness and ability to be on call outside normal business hours
