Job Summary:

Will provide Systems Administration expertise and services in support of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft operating systems for primary functionality within the corporate computing department.



Will work bi-weekly on-call rotation, as required, in coordination with the other department Systems Administrator.


Responsibilities:

Principle duties and responsibilities:

* Designs, develops, implements, installs, troubleshoots and enhances Microsoft systems hosting a variety of network support services, such as Microsoft AD Directory Services, DNS and various corporate computing applications running on Microsoft systems.
* Installs, maintains, upgrades and troubleshoots Windows 2003/2008 Server and Windows 2003/2008 Enterprise Server.
* Analyzes, tests, install sand documents existing systems, to include hardware and software.
* Audits current and future, internal and external operating environments.
* Maintains users and groups, backups systems (including tape rotations), email services, domain services, and system documentation.
* Monitors systems and logs weekly.
* Responsible for on-call rotating schedule to obtain a 99.99% year round uptime.

Required Skills:

* Well-developed knowledge of web server farms and application farms, along with Microsoft Clusters and SQL2003/2005/2008 clusters.
* Knowledge of disk allocation and performance monitoring in SAN's.
* Familiarity with networking, especially load balancing.
* Basic knowledge/experience with virtualized server environment.
* Administers SharePoint environment.
* Administers Citrix environment.
* Provides secondary support for Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010.



Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

* B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Current Microsoft MSCE/MCM certification can substitute for the Bachelor’s degree if the certifications are in the areas specified above.
* Established experience with enterprise-level tape backups, AV/malware protection, IIS 7.0, and Microsoft Active Directory (including multiple site setup and configuration) in a mid-size or larger company.
* Administrator-level experience with MOSS (SharePoint) 2007.
* Knowledge of security systems and tools, to include, but not limited to, GPO’s that are applied to domain, site, and OU levels.
* Knowledge of network services, to include Microsoft file and print sharing, DNS.
* Knowledge of desktop tools, to include MS Office, Project and Visio.
* Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of systems, especially HP and Sun product lines.
* Experience installing and configuring storage systems, to include raid and non-raid SCSI, tape robot library and fiber-channel-based storage clusters.
* Experience installing disks, memory, system cabling/wiring and other components using proper rack layout and design, along with overall Data Center knowledge.
* Understanding of monitoring tools, such as Site Scope and SCOM.
* Experience creating and administering SharePoint sites.
* Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. of computer equipment or components, as needed.
