Primary Duties: Design and develop application reports and ETL scripts/processes
Design, develop and maintain data standards, data models,and security methods for current and future corporate reporting requirements.
Interface with the development, testing, marketing and production database teams to provide implementation strategies for new report development, testing and production deployment.
Manage report version releases across all Trimble corporate environments spanning multiple product versions.
Develop reporting archival system for customer access to reports from previous time periods.
Participate in the database team's vision for current and future reporting requirements
Strong communication skills for interactions with internal corporate groups and external customers. -- Requirements gathering from internal and external customers for report development which will be published world wide. Position Requirements: (List characteristics, skills, and degrees preferred; years of experience required) Education requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant degree Experience requirements (years): 4 years experience in providing reporting solutions Skill requirements: 4 yrs experience with Enterprise level reporting tools Other requirements, please explain: Minimum requirements for this position include but are not limited to the following: -- A minimum of 4 years experience in providing reporting solutions for large scale corporate requirements including OLTP and OLAP -- 2 years experience in data modeling for OLTP and OLAP systems - emphasis on OLAP systems a plus -- Strong Transact-Sql and/or PL/Sql skills for internal ETL development and data manipulation -- Query performance analysis, tuning and optimization. -- Experience working with Microsoft Entity Framework considered a plus -- Standards and technical document creation and maintenance -- One on one support for development and test engineers -- Stong communication skills
