Denver Public Schools - SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST

Position Title: Sr. Programmer Analyst, Business Enterprise Applications (9652)

Department: Department of Technology (DoTS)

Work Year/Schedule: 235 Days, Full-Time

Salary: $58,306-$87,460

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs analysis, design, coding, testing, training, and documentation (software development life cycles/methodologies) for projects.

* Ability to develop functional and technical requirements therefore delivering a solution from conceptualization through implementation that improves efficiency for the business functions (human resources, benefits, and payroll) of the District.

* Provides technical leadership and support for enterprise business applications requests.

* Performs technical development in Lawson utilizing Lawson's core development tools including: Lawson CASE tool and custom COBOL coding, Lawson Design Studio, Lawson Workflow.

* Performs development in .Net or Java on custom and 3rd party systems that integrate and interact with Lawson. These integrations include: web pages, web services, and windows applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and five or more years of related experience.

* Application development experience using: JavaScript, Java, COBOL, SQL, PL/SQL, ASP, HTML, .Net. Other languages a plus.

* Strong knowledge of web programming development (OOP) and deployment in a diverse environment (Windows OS, IE browser versions and Mozilla Firefox).

* Experience with relational database modeling.

* Proficient skills with HP-UX, Oracle, and/or SQL.

* Experience with web technologies a plus i.e. ASP.NET, IBM Websphere, MS IIS, Tomcat, etc.

* Experience with HRIS, Lawson Insight or other ERP system a plus.

* Experience with the Lawson technical environment, database structure, and SEA web tools, desirable.
