What you Offer:
The Data Solutions team is responsible for managing Wall Street On Demand's vendor relationships. The Data Solutions team is responsible for interfacing with vendors, building relationships, integrating data, and managing issue resolution. Data Solution Team is tasked with ensuring data quality through process improvements and monitoring. This position will work internally with cross-functional teams and externally with vendors to initiate and manage Market Data Entitlements from proposal through contract. This position is responsible for expert level knowledge of data management including integration, storage and reporting processes. The Data Analyst must have a passion for finance, investing, relational database management and providing the highest quality data possible to our clients.
Job Duties:
* Initiate and manage Market Data Entitlements from proposal through contract.
* Manage data integration, storage and reporting processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data issues as indentified internally and through client channels.
* Evaluate and continuously improve Real-time Exchange reporting processes and provide new and interesting methods to increase data quality.
* Facilitate data definition for the data requirements for projects.
* Manage vendor feed integrations and upgrades.
* Scope and manage projects across multiple departments.
Education and Experience -
* A Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or related field of study required.
* 1 - 3 years experience data analysis and process improvement.
Skill/Ability -
* Demonstrated understanding of financial markets and market data.
* SQL skills and demonstrated understanding of relational databases.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, v look-up, etc.).
* Critical thinking and creative problem solving.
* Strong ability to multitask and maintain composure while fielding multiple requests for information on a daily basis.
* Self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
