ITT Visual Information Solutions is a leader in software solutions that

academic communities.
We have an immediate need for an experienced network administrator to
install, maintain and monitor the operation of our local and wide area
networks. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to
corporate security policies; performing troubleshooting, diagnosis and
repairs for network hardware- and software-related problems; and
recommending upgrades, patches, equipment and architectural solutions
consistent with the organization's short- and long-term objectives.
Qualified candidates must have a strong team mindset; be comfortable
operating in a fast-paced customer service environment; and be willing
to perform Windows and Unix system administration tasks as needed in
addition to core networking responsibilities.
Work with a talented team while providing support and guidance to end
users. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response
to customer and systems needs.
Required minimum skills and qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
* CCNA or greater Cisco certification required
* Proven work experience with Cisco routers, switches, PIX/ASA
firewalls, EIGRP and BGP; WAN administration; point to point, and remote
user VPN management
* Strong TCP/IP, DNS/BIND, SMTP, DHCP and SNMP skills
* Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003, Solaris, Linux
system administration
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 and
VMware ESX
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Commitment to customer service and teamwork
* Scripting experience in SMS, Altiris or similar systems
