Manager, Search Engine Optimization

**Contract or possible Contract-to-Hire opportunity

We seek a strategic, collaborative and metrics oriented SEO Manager who
will be responsible for managing our in-house, cross-functional SEO
team. You will be responsible for all global search engine optimization
activities including developing and implementing a strategic SEO plan,
collaborating with and training various teams across the business to
incorporate SEO best practices into their work, and developing and
presenting progress and metrics reports to the company. In this role,
you will coordinate site and content optimization efforts as they relate
to SEO across the business while developing and executing a strategic
SEO plan. You must be collaborative, self-motivated, accountable and
have strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Paid search
management is not a part of this position.



RESPONSIBILITIES



* Serve as the in-house SEO expert with a primary focus on organic
search
* Drive end to end project management of SEO efforts engaging
appropriate cross functional team members across the organization
* Develop and maintain SEO strategy and project plan, and
coordinate implementation across multiple teams
* Present strategy, progress and results reports on an ongoing
basis
* Monitor and report on search engine rankings and their impact on
sales and visitors
* SEO optimization of the Webroot.com website, including analyzing
current web page designs and code and working with the design and
development teams to implement recommended changes
* Working with the marketing team on content optimization and
development
* Updating SEO best practices documents and training teams on
using them in their work
* Keeping up to date on the latest SEO trends, changes, and
competitor activity



REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



* A minimum of 5-7 years full time SEO experience for a medium to
large size company, or equivalent freelance work
* Proven experience in project management of a large SEO effort
* A documented, proven track record for driving traffic
* Knowledge of white hat SEO methods and best practices
* Knowledge and understanding of current search engine
algorithms/methods
* Basic programming and web design knowledge, and how it effects
SEO

* Strong analytical skills, i.e., the ability to analyze results
to determine key findings
* General understanding of HTML and the Internet required,
however, this position is not a Web development role
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively
multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
* Excellent oral and written skills
* Strong presentation, analysis, and negotiating skills
