Mobile Solutions is responsible for producing an industry leading solution that allows Medical Device sales representatives to perform all of their job functions electronically. This includes performing audits of Hospital consignment inventory, creating the billing care information from providers for company products used in surgeries, and obtaining the latest pricing and product information wirelessly using Windows Mobile devices.

The Mobile Solutions Web Software Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
* analysis, design, and implementation of the GHX Mobile Solutions web software
* user interface design/development
* database access development and network communication development
The primary focus will be enhancing and maintaining GHX*s SalesAccelerator web application. This is the industry-leading sales operation management application for the medical device industry with an install base of over 4000 users. The programming languages used for development of SalesAccelerator*s web application are Java, SQL, HTML, JSP/JSTL, and Javascript. The client browsers supported by the SalesAccelerator web application include Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher as well as Mozilla Firefox.

Required:
* B.S. in Computer Science or related degree
* 3+ years experience and proficiency translating customer requirements into technical design, implementation tasks, and accurate estimates
* 3+ years experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex deployed enterprise web applications
* 5+ years of professional Java development experience including experience with Java 5
* 3+ years in design of SQL to support application requirements. Proficient with using JDBC to connect to SQL Server 2000/2005 and/or Oracle 9.x servers
* 3+ years of experience with web standards and web design using HTML, Javascript/AJAX, CSS, XML
* 3+ years experience working with version control systems (Subversion) including code merging, conflict resolution.
* Strong understanding of Struts 1.x, JSP/Taglib and JSTL
* 1+ Team Leader or supervisory experience.
* Ability to work early morning hours with the Mobile Solutions team in Indianapolis, including attendance at daily stand-up meeting at 7:00a Mountain
* Ability to travel to Indianapolis to work with Mobile Solutions team on a regular basis (1-2 times per month expected)

Preferred but not required:
* Understanding of and desire to work with Windows Mobile/PDA devices
* Experience working as an individual contributor on an Agile team using SCRUM daily standup meetings, burndown charts, sprint planning/retrospectives

Description:
Performance Engineer will work closely with GHX Operations teams to build, deploy configure and administer tools that measure and trend Business Process performance across all product lines. This individual will work with Business Units to understand performance expectations of products and services and work with the Solutions Architect, and Subject experts to document, design and implement correct technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide high-level support in the areas of application and system tuning.
* Build performance testing solutions by mapping common enterprise business systems to reusable solutions.
* Present solutions and ideas to technical, non-technical audiences.
* Must act as with agility and diligence in management of own responsibilities while managing multiple projects and priorities.
* This position is also responsible for planning, design, and enhancements. Candidates should be experienced with enterprise technologies and network architecture framework and standards that are used as a basis for consolidating and standardizing IT throughout the enterprise.
* Training Operations Staff in the areas of performance management
* Serve as member of capacity planning committee
* Create, execute, customize and maintain automated test scripts.
* Assist in the research and evaluation of automation and performance testing tools
* Test products according to Engineering and business specifications.
* Organize and manage multiple and competing tasks, priorities and deadlines across departmental teams
* Stay abreast of new technologies in the industry

Qualifications

* Bachelor*s Degree in business, computer science, engineering, or management information systems preferred.
* 3-5 years in Information Technology, with diverse knowledge in Performance Testing Products, Networking, Systems Administration, Application Engineering, QA and Database Interaction.
* CCNA, MCSE, and Solaris certification a plus
* This position requires strong consultative skills, extensive experience in Infrastructure Architectures (Network, Storage, Operating Systems) and the valuable ability (and experience) in presenting multiple ideas and executing them in n 24X7X365 operational environment.
* Experience in DataCenter Operations
* Experience with applications/services delivered over the Internet
* Experience with mission critical, 24x7 operations
* Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
* Experience with task automation
* Experience with environment monitoring tools (ProActiveNet, SiteScope, Nagios, Patrol, etc).
* Experience with performance testing tools, and ability to implement these tools with an Operational focus
* Advanced knowledge of interacting with UNIX operating systems (Solaris/Linux preferred), including shell scripting, debugging.
* Knowledge of Virtualization concepts
* Must be able to work from own initiative, learn quickly, and function effectively with team members.
* This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will often present solutions and ideas to technical, non-technical audiences.
* Experience in Microsoft Office 2007, Excel, Windows, and Powerpoint
