CableLabs is currently looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join
our team at our Louisville, Colorado facility.

SUMMARY
The Cable Information Services (CIS) Sr. Software Developer serves as
the focal point for software development projects. The Sr. Software
Developer working with VP and Product Manager will establish
development priorities and roadmaps, lead software development team,
build project development schedules and budgets and will coordinate
schedules with Operations Manager.

Sr. Software Developer will schedule and facilitate regular program
review meetings to assure ongoing communications and coordination
across the CIS team. Approximately 25% of the Senior Software
Developers time will be allocated to actual development work. The Sr.
SW Developer will identify technical opportunities for increasing
business value through innovation and increased efficiency.

The Sr. Software Developer will provide consistent, regular reporting
to CableLabs management regarding specific project progress as well
as identify and execute tactics to assure continuous improvement and
overall effectiveness for the various initiatives. Additionally, the
Sr. SW Developer must exhibit high energy, deep technical skills, and
a drive to get things done.
FUNCTIONS
Required

• Owns and drives technical projects: responsible for the
overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical
projects.

• Establishes development roadmap and maintains program
schedules and budgets. Schedules and facilitates team meetings, and
captures and communicates project action items. Identifies,
communicates and assists in resolving schedule impacting events.

• Provides positive leadership and works proactively with
development, test and operations staff in an effort to meet or exceed
project milestones and deliverables.

• Contributes technically to projects, 25% of time to actual
software development.

• Represents CIS as a technical expert in CableLabs cross
project work.

• Responsible for understanding, identifying and helping to
resolve new product and process issues. Leads "post mortem" review
of projects in an effort to capture lessons learned and provides
continuous improvement across the CIS initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical
Engineering, or related field preferred.
• At least 7 years of professional software development
experience with strong programming skills in C# and substantial
knowledge of Windows environments.
• Strong distributed systems and architecture knowledge, and
experience with multi-tiered, mission critical systems preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams of
software engineers.
• Experience managing teams of software engineers, including
task planning and code reviews.
• Proven Project Management skills and experience with MS
Project a must.
• An interest in the business value created by the technical
solution.
• Detail oriented, and organized.
• Proficient facilitator with strong written and verbal
communications skills.
• Substantial experience in a majority of the following skills:
MS SQL Server, MS IIS, MS Visual Interdev, MS .Net, COM+, SQL, XML.
• Experience in the following skills is a plus: OpenSource
projects, Java, C++, Python, PHP, Ruby on Rails, REST, SOAP, SOA, ESB.

of Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am until 6pm.

Responsible for providing technical, functional, and coding support to
customer's product support teams, field engineers or technicians who
are
diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging highly technical or

Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to
isolate or fix problems in software. Reports design, reliability and
