Position Summary:
Verizon Enterprise Solutions is adding a Java Developer who will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of Java/J2EE software as part of a software development team. The right candidate would work independently as well as across the organization with a team, be self-motivated, and have a knack for taking initiative to creatively overcome obstacles. As a developer at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, you would need to quickly master and apply new technologies, and stay abreast of industry trends.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
7+ years hands-on software development experience
5+ years J2EE development
BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field preferred
Experience developing entire stack of J2EE technologies (DB, middle-tier, front end)
Spring and Hibernate
Experience developing Web Services
Experience with ORM (object relational mapping) technologies
Experience with Linux and development on a unix based system
Experience with Eclipse IDE
Experience with Maven, Subversion
Some experience with SQL and Oracle
Experience with Jersey/REST
