About the role:

You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing an existing Microsoft Access-based system that manages critical financial instruments. You will work closely with our client to understand and implement critical business process changes as their business grows. You will also have an opportunity to participate with our development team as we evolve our new web-based applications.
Here's how you'll be spending your days:
• Developing a system support plan and managing that plan on a daily basis.
• Establishing and managing the process for controling product enhancement requests and system errors.
• Understanding the business processes used in the existing system and assisting with developing a strategy to support the business as changes occur.
• Leading bi-weekly status meetings with clients and project leadership to facilitate the decision-making process, document requirements, identify and resolve gaps, set priorities, build consensus
• Making technical changes to the existing financial instrument system to implement the client approved changes.
• Communicating clearly and working cooperatively with team members and client stakeholders as needed to gather or disseminate information
• Performing routine maintenance and backups of existing financial instrument system.
• Delivering business process documentation for any new system changes.

What you'll bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree; CIS, MIS or a business related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years experience with MS Access/Visual Basic application development
• Experience supporting applications in production – patches, tier III support, technical issue resolution, program changes – all the unpredictable stuff that happens with a legacy system
• Exposure to the open source software environment and a desire to grow as a software developer
• Outstanding attention to detail; deadline and results oriented
• An intense curiosity and fascination for the business needs that are driving your project
• Good communication skills as a frontline member of the onsite team.

About the role:

In this key role you be driving the design/development for a new web-based application platform to create and manage financial instruments. You will have significant role in establishing the technical architecture, guiding our Agile development methodology, implementing the core application framework and overseeing project management activities. This is a true ground floor opportunity for you if you thrive in a startup, and have a track record of successful product launch.
Here's how you'll be spending your days:
• Defining and developing the technical architecture, event alerting framework and role-based user security model for the RelevanceLogic platform
• As the keeper of the platform architecture, oversee technical architecture decisions during application development
• Implementing our Agile project management methodology and as the SCRUM Master, drive efficient and robust delivery of our products
• Ensuring that the development velocity is sufficient to meet project deadlines and that all risks are appropriately addressed/socialized to minimize business impact
• Authoring/editing the technical architecture documentation that supports all infrastructure, application and user stories deliverables
• Verifying/validating all test models and acceptance criteria
• Participating actively in all code reviews
• We're a startup, so your role will change daily – you will be more hands-on than you probably should be and work in the trenches with us to build a rock solid company

What you'll bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree; CIS, CS, EE or related disciplines (MS highly desirable)
• A minimum 10 years of experience producing high quality software applications
• Demonstrated experience leading the architecture design of commercial grade Service-based software products built using an Open Source Stack with particular emphasis on the Java/Spring framework
• Experience architecting applications which support role-based user models and multi-tenancy environments
• Your collaborative leadership style that infects team members and inspires their creativity
• The ability to embrace and adapt well to course corrections that are required under an effective agile development environment

You will be responsible for articulating the user requirements for a new web-based application platform to create and manage financial instruments. You will play a significant role in delivering business requirements, test criteria and user story definitions to the development team operating in an Agile process model. You will be the primary interface between the business stakeholders and the technical development team with responsibility for verifying that user requirements are satisfied upon delivery.

Here's how you'll be spending your days:
• Defining business requirements and user story hierarchy for our core platform
• Serving as a Product Owner, responsible for evangelizing current and future product features – full lifecycle management
• Understanding the business processes and the manner in which proposed solutions impact those processes
• Leading requirements-gathering meetings with clients and technical team members to facilitate the decision-making process, document requirements, identify and resolve gaps, set priorities, build consensus
• Translating customer requirements into user stories
• Communicating clearly and working cooperatively with team members and client stakeholders as needed to gather or disseminate information
• Working interactively with the development team to assure that the designs and the solutions delivered match the clients' expectations
• Developing test plans, and participating in the execution of those plans for QA and user acceptance
• Working with the client to define implementation plans and support the execution of those plans
• Supporting client adoption of new solutions
• Delivering business process documentation for all user stories


What you'll bring to the table
• Bachelor's degree; CIS, MIS or a business related discipline
• A minimum 8 years of experience as a business analyst, QA analyst or Product Owner supporting the development of commercial grade software
• Demonstrated project experience working within an Agile Development model – not just rapid waterfall
• A passion for working in a client facing role, with the ability to translate ambiguous user desires into consumable feature sets that will guide the evolution of the RL product suite
• Experience in designing, developing and implementing test methodologies preferred
• Outstanding attention to detail; deadline and results oriented
• The ability to embrace and adapt well to course corrections that are required under an effective agile development environment
• An intense curiosity and fascination for the business needs that are driving your project
