DISH Network is looking for a Manager of Tax Technology supporting the Sales and Use group. The successful candidate will have experience as a manager in sales & use, and will have above average computer/systems expertise. This is a newly created position and is a tremendous opportunity to marry your tax, management, and IT skills. Formal experience in tax technology is not required, but it would be helpful to have experience with Oracle, Hyperion, PTMS and/or Vertex. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for updating, testing, and maintaining all sales tax engines.
Responsible for coordinating upgrades and system needs between tax and IT for all SUT & Property tax software.
Serve as the key person within the sales/property group for developing and testing reports.
Perform monthly sales tax audit to ensure that all systems are correctly applying tax to customer accounts.
Maintain working knowledge of business initiatives, and state laws, to ensure all systems are accurately and timely updated to comply with changes.
Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, IT or related field
Master's Degree in Tax or IT preferred
6 plus years experience in sales and use tax required with at least 2 years in management
A solid understanding of Vertex products including L, O, Q, and returns package.
Familiar with the new PTMS platform for property tax.
A proven record of increased responsibility and effectiveness in working with tax technology.
Knowledge of Hyperion and access databases a plus
Experience in working in an environment using several ERP systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Above average knowledge of all Vertex products
Working knowledge of PTMS or similar property tax software
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Solid understanding of ERP systems and how data flows.
Must be a self-starter with an upbeat and positive attitude.
Critical thinking and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
Ability to organize and follow through on multiple projects .
