Health Language, Inc.€ ¦® (HLI) develops and delivers state-of-the-art
software solutions that automatically incorporates medical vocabulary
and coding standards into healthcare information technology (HCIT)
applications. We are recruiting for a full time Database Developer/Content
Engineer for out Aurora, CO location.



JOB TITLE: Database Developer/Content Engineer

Experienced Database Developer/Content Engineer familiar with database
analysis and object oriented programming.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Process medical informatics data such as terminologies (e.g. ICD,
SNOMED) for distribution to US and international customers

Analyze customer and company terminology data at database and
architecture level

Create applications to analyze and transform data, with emphasis on
java

Participate in the evaluation and development of clinical content
projects/deliverables (including written and verbal presentations).

Work effectively with client representatives in order to identify
business needs, project scope and processes

Provide training and documentation.



Required Skills:

SQL and database experience (SQL Server preferred)

Data manipulation.

Experience with object oriented programming emphasis on java

College degree in computer science or related area

Two to four year experience in medical or computer area preferred



Desired Skills:

Regular expressions, loading and extracting data.

Knowledge of clinical terminologies and/or informatics.

Clinical background a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work as a team player with colleagues
