developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components supporting
Payfone service offerings.
*Responsibilities
Essential skills and duties include:
• Designing and developing applications for dealing with high-volume,
low-latency requests in a mission-critical system, delivering
high-availability and performance.
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Writing well designed, testable, efficient code that meets coding
standards.
• Ensuring designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Developing automated unit tests to ensure compliance with specifications
and enabling automated assurance of future changes.
• Preparing and produce releases of software components.
• Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and
technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Exercising creative thinking and imagination to advance our business
performance.
• Delivering innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet the
customer’s changing business needs.
• The ability to react quickly to changing customer and business needs.
*Education & Experience
We are looking for an individual with:
• 5+ years of hands-on Software Development experience
• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using the
Java platform
• Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Profound insight of Java internals (Threading, Transaction management,
Introspection, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, preferably Oracle
• Experience with the JMS Framework
• Experience in developing JSON API frameworks highly preferred
• Experience with agile development a definite plus
