EchoStar - OS X Developer, Senior Software Engineer, Sr Linux Sys Admin

Summary:          
Troppus Software is seeking an Senior OSX Development Engineer, in Superior, CO, who will contribute to technical design, specification creation, prototyping, debugging, and full life cycle application development of Troppus’ OSX Customer Service and Support Client applications.
 
Responsibilities:
Design, code and debug applications UI/UX design Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, and system risk analysis Software simulation and modeling Integrate software with existing systems Unit testing and quality assurance Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies, frameworks and approaches Support, maintain and document software functionality Agile application development Basic Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Technical 4 year degree or equivalent experience 1+ year of experience developing MAC/iOS applications 2+ years experience with Objective-C and Cocoa 5+ years experience developing in an object-oriented environment 2+ years experience with established design patterns (GoF) 1+ year experience integrating with SOAP or REST Web services 1+ year experience developing in XCode 4 Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with Grand Central Dispatch, KVC, Core Data, Data Binding System design and user experience design skills Experience testing user interface design throughout the development process Experience with distributed source control systems – git experience preferred Experience interfacing with relational databases such as SQL Server SDLC experience Experience working in dynamic development teams using Agile methodologies Agile Management (ALM) tools such as Mingle or Rally Experience working with and building within Service Oriented Architectures Mac OSX internals such as file handling, memory management, Foundation Experience with other programming languages such as C# or Java.

Summary:
EchoStar has an opening in Englewood, CO, for a Senior Software Engineer who will design, develop and maintain network applications in the C programming language for TV set top box receivers.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in architecting network applications and choosing appropriate protocols for new features.  Decompose tasks, define milestones, create schedules and estimated development resources for projects.    Work within a development team using change control and source code management systems. Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5 years experience in C programming. 3 years experience in network application development in C. 3 years implementing network applications from conception to completion. 3 years experience working with TCP/IP. 


Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded system development. Software Configuration Management tools such Clearcase or Jira. Linux kernel driver development. Secure code development principles. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Quick learner.

Summary:
EchoStar in Englewood, CO  is looking for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator that has experience in Systems Administration, Web Application Servers, Developing Standards, Proxy Services, and Network Hardware Configuration.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of web application server hardware, software, LANs and WANs. Defines system and operational policies and procedures. Maintains optimal system performance with system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning. Troubleshoots system hardware, software, networks and operating system. Designs and runs system load/stress testing. Escalates and works with vendors to resolve application issues. Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, and controls. Establishes, tests and documents disaster recovery policies and procedures. Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
 

Basic Qualifications:
BS Computer Science or MIS/CIS/CE or equivalent experience 5 years of Linux/Unix systems administration 3 years experience with Apache Tomcat server administration. 2 year experience with Version Control Software such as Git, or Subversion 1 year experience with Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef or CF Engine 


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the following: 
Shell Scripting with Bash Programming languages such as Perl or Python Developing Standards TCP/IP or UDP Network or Packet Sniffers such as WireShark, Firewalls Routers  Proxy Servers Virtualization software such as VM Ware or Citrix Cloud Computing Conducting Systems Administration related training Being On-Call.
