LogRhythm - Product Owner

Overview:

LogRhythm is seeking a Product Owner to join the LogRhythm team at our corporate office in Boulder, Colorado.  As a member of the software engineering team, you will support the definition of new features and product enhancements for our products.  Successful candidates are those who define product requirements/user stories utilizing a big picture product view but at the same time diligently attend to detail.  This person serves as the conduit between customers, business stakeholders and technical teams ensuring common understanding of product needs.
Responsibilities:

    Work closely with  engineering, product management, sales, and other business stakeholders in the definition of product features
    Collect customer, sales, product management, and engineering input for the development of  technical requirements and direction
    Strong collaboration with engineering feature teams (e.g. product owner in agile) ensuring customer requirements are well prioritized, implemented, and validated
    Maintain a technical working relationship with technology partners
    Effectively manage trade-offs between business benefit and cost/schedule
    Represent LogRhythm at customer events and tradeshows
    Work across the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning  to day to day product development activities to product release

Qualifications:

Required Skills

    Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical requirements or product management role for a software based  enterprise product
    Minimum 5 years in the software development/product industry
    Experienced in writing  product requirements or user stories
    Technical knowledge of a subset of the  following: software technologies (Java, C++, C#), user interface technologies (web, mobile, rich client) , Linux/Windows,  database  (NoSQL, SQL), Internet/network  technologies, information security,  high availability/redundancy, hardware platforms, Cloud, virtualization, and SOA
    Strong negotiation skills with aptitude to manage controversial situations as well as influence
    Process-oriented and driven to achieve strategic goals
    Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively

Valued Skills

    Experienced managing technical aspects of OEM and strategic partner relationships
    Background in networking, networking security, or web services API management
    CISSP or other security certifications
    Knowledge of federal government certification activities: FIPS, Common Criteria, UC APL
    Knowledge of Agile methodologies
    Previous experience in customer facing function (support, professional services, sales engineering)
    Previous experience in software engineering role
    Undergraduate degree in technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems Security,  Electrical Engineering)
