Description:
tw telecom is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Software Engineer in our Denver, CO location. This position's primary focus will be working on our Customer Portal, additional responsibilities include providing web technology expertise as a member of the team that designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains tw telecom web sites, including intranet, extranet, and Internet sites.

Essential Functions:
Design and implement complex web solutions using Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0/3.5 (using C# and ASP.NET as the primary development languages). This includes knowledge of the Windows 2000/2003 operating system and IIS 6.0 administration skills.
Design, build, and maintain SQL Server 2000/2005 databases
Provide technical expertise in the creation of web-based business solutions.
Function as interface for tw telecom intranet/Internet-related activities and for customers requiring web services. Work closely with customers to determine future courses of intranet, Internet, and extranet web applications.

Job Requirements:
4 year technical degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional experience in corporate Intranet/Internet web site development.
Solid experience working with Oracle to develop packages, procedures, and complex queries
Experience in C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, VBScript, and JavaScript. Knowledge of AJAX a plus.
Solid experience with Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0 /3.5 platforms, including web forms, user controls, windows authentication, and Visual Studio 2003/2005. Knowledge of .NET 2.0 Web Parts a plus.
Solid experience in creation and maintenance of SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and complex queries.
Knowledge of Microsoft 2000/2003 Server and Microsoft IIS 6.0.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with customer and end-user support.
Demonstrated ability to work on a schedule.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with users to translate loose business requirements into robust functional requirements.
Experience in vendor interface/management experience and the ability to function in a dynamic and uncertain environment.
Experience in designing complex graphical interfaces a plus
