Summary


Market Force Information is an industry leader in Mystery Shopping
research services and customer experience measurement company, focusing
on multi-location businesses in restaurant, retail, grocery, oil/gas,
and financial industries.



Market Force Information is seeking a Software Configuration Management
Engineer to be responsible for managing releases within the MFI systems
for multiple environments within the MFI organization. This position
reports to MFI Quality Assurance Manager.




Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


* Work closely with technical project manager, development teams
in several locations, QA, and other teams to understand project
requirements and coordinate timing, dependencies and issues
* Coordinate and plan build and release schedules
* Define, implement, and manage release policies, procedures, and
tools
* Manage the release process across environments
* Coordinate with software developers and Database Administrators
to ensure modified code meets requirements for release to production and
to maintain release history
* Introduce process changes as appropriate to help facilitate the
delivery of quality products
* Ensure and prioritize scope of release in accordance with
business requirement documents
* Create and communicate release documentation
* Configure, maintain, and administer version control tool
Subversion
* Assist QA team with testing activities as time allows.




Required Qualifications:


* 2-3 years experience in Software Configuration Management or a
related field

* Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office,
Internet Explorer and/or Firefox

* Ability to meet deadlines and schedules and be accountable for
defined tasks

* Must have attention to detail and be able to follow test cases
and checklists

* Ability to document results of releases in a detailed and
organized manner.

* Ability to multitask in a fast, dynamic environment and
maintain a professional attitude with team members

* Working knowledge of trouble ticketing or bug tracking
databases for reporting and managing defects

* Strong interpersonal, communication skills & presentation
skills, written and verbal

* Able to work well independently

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills

* Highly motivated and ability to work independently

* Ability to take ownership of problems and follow through to
resolution

responsible for the testing of applications and products within the MFI
system for every environment within the MFI organization. This position
reports to MFI Quality Assurance Manager.

* Execute test cases against Client and Operational facing
software applications
* On-going ad hoc testing of applications
* Identify, analyze, and report application defects (e.g. detail
steps to reproduce expected and actual results) and assist with
resolution.
* Write and execute test cases and document results
* Verify that corrective actions meet quality objectives (e.g.
verify resolutions and close bugs)
* Assist in administrating defect tracking tool




Required Qualifications:


* 2-3 years experience in Quality Assurance or a related field
