Ping Identity is currently looking for a Security Operations Engineer with
strong Linux experience.
The ideal candidate is expected to provide quality first-tier security
event management for Infrastructure operations at Ping Identity. A strong
knowledge of the Linux operating system is required in addition to a
passion for security, working with new technologies and pushing the
envelope on existing technologies. Security Operations Engineers are
expected to build or enhance their own tools, develop and operate best
practices, and always think and act proactively and innovatively.
Responsibilities:
• Providing front line support for all information security related issues, such as firewall configuration, managing SSL Certificates, advising on security policy compliance, handling data confidentiality issues, monitoring and responding to emerging threats. This position requires out-of-hours on-call work.
• Troubleshooting issues affecting the security of Ping Identity’s computing resources
• Follow standard practices and procedures to respond appropriately to external and internal threats
• Providing administration and configuration support for security-focused tools and services
• Providing front line support for internal customers working on compliance projects (e.g. SOX, PCI, SOC, CSA, OWASP, ISO27000)
• Evangelizing security within Ping Identity and be an advocate for customer trust
