Denver Water (DW) has implemented a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for data and process integration across its suite of business applications.​ DW is in need of an individual with both development and support experience to complement our Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) team.​  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in the integration solution space.​ Have experience and interest to provide development of new business process and integration solutions in an Agile development environment.​  This individual is expected to advance the integration direction, business/​solutions requirements for new integrations, help support and administration our current environment.​

To be successful in this role, the person will need debugging and development skills.​  On-going development and releases also necessitate that the candidate be familiar with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or other source control tools and be able to coordinate with a diverse group of IT stakeholders for integrated releases.​

Qualifications for appointment:

Thorough knowledge of maintaining and enhancing new computing architectures and environments.​Thorough knowledge of contemporary programming techniques, system analysis, design techniques and other contemporary software development methodologies.​Thorough knowledge of project planning.​Strong, analytical, problem-solving, systematic and conceptual skills.​Ability to deal with frequent change by being flexible and adaptable to evolving situations.​Ability to adapt to changing technologies and become proficient in those technologies.​Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.​Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees.​

Mandatory Technical Proficiencies:
·         Configuration Management skills with tools like Visual Source Safe, Team Foundation Server, Rational ClearCase, Subversion, GIT, or CVS
·         Knowledge of development tools on *nix (preferred), Windows
·         2+​ years Integration Development with at least one year utilizing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
·         Track record of performance tuning and managing highly-available integration environments
·         1+​ years application server experience with WebLogic, WebSphere, or other J2EE application server platform
·         XML Schema, JSON, XSL Transformations (XSLT)
·         WSDL/​Web Services/​REST Services
·         2+​ years of relevant work experience in programming any of the following: Java/​J2EE, C#, C+​+​, C
·         VB/​.​NET, and proficiency with  PL/​SQL or ANSI SQL

Preferred Qualifications:
·         Agile team development experience
·         Work experience with TIBCO tools: TIBCO Administration, TIBCO EMS or Rendezvous (JMS is an acceptable substitute), TIBCO BusinessWorks development, TIBCO Adapters, TIBCO HAWK, TIBCO ActiveMatrix Services Grid
·         Oracle 10g+​
·         Splunk, ElasticSearch, Hazelcast
·         Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP)
·         Coding skills in Bash, JavaScript/​AJAX
·         Jenkins/​Hudson, Puppet or Chef
·         Good knowledge of Web standards and protocols including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP
·         NoSQL systems such as: Hadoop, CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Node4J
·         Certification in TIBCO tools

Education Requirements:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education, as determined by the requirements for specialized knowledge.​

Experience Requirements:
Five years’ experience in programming, systems analysis and design, including three years of developing integration solutions.​

OR

Any equivalent combination of education and experience.​
