Position Summary: The Sr. Systems Engineer is instrumental in strategic planning, architectural design and capacity planning for the technology platform, for ZOLL's Hosting services. This person will effectively use analytical problem solving skills to remove hindrances associated with rapid deployment of new product solutions and/or resolve technical support issues. He/she will be responsible for managing complex mission-critical, web-based applications in a stacked, clustered, high availability 24x7 production environment. The Sr. Systems Engineer will install, configure, troubleshoot computer networks by performing the duties below. Essential Job Duties: * Improve service delivery with respect to deployment of systems infrastructure * Streamline the provisioning of multiple data center assets * Drive systems monitoring improvements for applications hosted at off-site data center * Assist in the development of best practices for management of data center systems as it relates to HIPAA audits * Participate in critical incident management and root cause analysis * Create an efficient process for managing critical infrastructure including escalation, communication and root cause determination * Attend service review meetings and assist with measurement of vendor compliance with service level delivery targets. * Take an active role in change management process, ensuring that all submission and execution controls are adhered to for operational changes. * Enhance data center infrastructure to facilitate high availability * Evaluate and redesign data center infrastructure to accommodate customer growth and application scalability * Position will offer career-benefitting exposure to a wide range of IT support activities. * Other duties as assigned by management. Summary: The .NET engineer will participate in developing various quality SaaS applications that will share a common database in a collaborative team environment. The engineer will work through the entire lifecycle and requires in dept understanding of industry best practices with emerging technologies. Responsibilities: * Utilize object oriented design, development, and debugging skills to implement web applications that retrieve, transport, and deliver sensitive customer data to a centralized, secure data repository. * Work with individual product teams and review product data dictionaries to develop a comprehensive understanding of the RescueNet enterprise data set. Develop a database model that incorporates reportable data elements from the various product databases and resolves inconsistencies in data treatment across product lines. * Work with development team to create a user-friendly, web-based application to support business intelligence functions. * Adhere to established ZOLL engineering standards with regards to UI development, database access, documentation standards, and development methodology. * Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high quality products. * Utilize organizational process control systems. * Collaboratively participate in team meetings as necessary. * Responsible for ensuring that assignments are delivered on schedule and in accordance with ZOLL quality standards. Responsible for test plans and/or unit testing. Required Skills: * 4+ years of experience in a professional MS SQL/.NET environment OR Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science * Strong business acumen - able to understand the business problems that our technology is created to solve * Demonstrated ability to effectively implement web services, .NET and database applications * Strong acumen for database design and optimization * Proficiency with ASP.NET, Fluent in Object-Oriented Programming with C#. Job Description: This person will be responsible for working with the ZOLL Director of Data Integration, individuals in R&D, contact points in other ZOLL divisions, Product Marketing and Marcom, Sales and customers and prospects to assist in defining the competitive landscape for ZOLL's integrated product offerings and to develop competitive offerings to meet market needs. This person will also be responsible for working with Product Marketing to develop effective downstream messaging and sales tool kits for these products. Specific Responsibilities: * Conduct research in order to specify market requirements * Perform competitive analysis on market place and maintain an updated competitor profile listing * Proactively communicate results of research and competitive analysis to sales trainers and managers * Develop marketing requirements documents to be used to advance the Product pipeline * Work closely with the User Experience Expert to develop intuitive, effective user interfaces for integrated products * Work with Product Marketing Manager to develop downstream messages on Data Integration Products and develop a sales toolkit for Data Integration Products * Work closely with Sales Trainers to ensure that Territory Managers are trained on how to message and position ZOLL's integrated products * Work closely with ZOLL Medical EMS Team on integration points * Act as product expert within the organization * Ability to travel up to 50% (potentially internationally) Required Skills: * Demonstrated ability to be self motivated, to accurately prioritize multiple activities and act independently with little supervision * Ability to be flexible and to adapt to a change intensive environment * Demonstrated ability to make decisions that take into consideration the overall scope of the project, the impact on organizational resources, and the importance of building and maintaining strong working relationships within the organization * Ability to understand and balance needs of market with needs of ZOLL and make decisions and prioritize accordingly * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Experience with downstream marketing concepts OR demonstrated ability to effectively develop influential communication to a variety of personas. * Tactful negotiation skills and a high level of diplomacy * Ability to effectively present to large or small groups of customers as well as sales and training personnel * Basic technical aptitude * Able to perform well in the face of tight deadlines and tough technical and organizational challenges
