Strangely, this Microsoft IT job requires a driver's license.  And a DUI is OK!  Blind people who can not drive need not apply.

The primary focus of this position is on the candidate's skills and experience in software, database and report development as well as system administration. This position also provides technical direction, support and assistance to both project teams and the user community. The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with both technical and non-technical personnel.

The IT Services Division provides a full range of services to nearly 3000 county employees and over 500,000 citizens. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Under general supervision, the position will be responsible for:

Report development, development of add-on application software to a COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) software package. Will be responsible for system administration for application software deployments (in a back-up role), database development and administration (in a back-up role). Employee will develop application requirements, test, train and document on the application, will perform troubleshooting on escalting issues realted to system failures and problems. Will work with customers, vendors and management in planning, maintaining, implementing, upgrading as well as resolving issues with services and systems.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields and a minimum of five years experience in system support programming and analysis.

Knowledge and Skills:

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SAP Crystal Reports
SQL Server 2008 R2 Database Development/Administration
SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio
Windows Server System Administration
Microsoft .NET (C# / Visual Basic)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Expert knowledge of systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, requirements gathering documentation, file design and storage
Ability to work with customers to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements

Highly Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with:
Thomson Rueters (formerly Manatron)
GRM Tax application software
CustomCama and/or RPA application software

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years.
