ServiceMagic - Associate Product Manager

ServiceMagic is a fast-paced, innovative and complex environment. As an Associate Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a team of highly skilled and experienced senior product managers. You'll get to build upon your strategic and tactical skills working with senior management, the user experience and design teams, operations and technology to plan and build products in a truly collaborative fashion. This is a high-accountability, highly visible position for someone who is motivated and confident in his/her ability to deliver measurable results in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years relevant experience, a successful track record of project delivery, and a history of leadership. This person should be at an early stage in his/her career and be willing to both lead and follow when appropriate, will take ownership in his/her work and have the ability to work with minimal guidance.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
•    Continually monitor product performance, customer needs, and industry trends, to develop new ideas and test hypotheses.
•    Author the business cases for proposed features and functionality as well as detail product requirements and functional specifications.
•    Work with User Experience team to define the UI, test it in the on-site usability testing facility and refine it prior to kicking off 
•    Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product Managers, Designers, Developers and QA to ensure rollout of an optimal finished product.
•    Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitor project status, troubleshoot obstacles, and provide outstanding communication to all stakeholders through development cycle.
•    Act as the customer advocate while balancing considerations for scope of opportunity, development and support costs, risk, and end-user experience.
•    Understand and build the optimal customer experience, manage project deliverables and timelines both internally and externally to ensure execution matches both product vision and user needs.

Experience and Skills:
•    1 – 3 years experience with internet or digital product development process (websites, apps, etc).
•    Ability to handle significant and unique complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of intangibles and provides solutions that are highly creative.
•    Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation and criteria for obtaining results and accomplishing objectives.
•    Project management skills including planning and organizational skills, with unsurpassed attention to detail
•    Strong public speaking and presentation skills
•    Self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize independently
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic work environment
