Arapahoe County - Systems Administration

Arapahoe County's Information Technology Department is currently looking for an Applications Support Specialist for our IBM platform Hardware and Operating Systems.  We are seeking someone who is precise, accurate and analytical to handle the multiple details associated with the County's critical IBM systems.  While the majority of the systems are on our legacy IBM platform, we desire candidates who have desire and the aptitude to migrate towards applications support on our windows systems.

General Overview of the Position:
Provides technical support and administrative services for applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the installation, administration and maintenance for purchased or internally developed applications and related interfaces required for County wide business operation. May install new releases, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.

May be responsible for the outcome of solutions, providing advice, guidance and assistance to team members and end user areas on matters related to the analysis, design and implementation of automated information processing solutions.
