POSITION SUMMARY BRIEF:
The Senior Software Engineer has responsibility and accountability for overseeing the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software across the enterprise. This position will report directly to the Director of Application Development and will work closely with IT Operations, Architecture and other IT functional areas that support the enterprise infrastructure.
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain custom web based applications within the IT enterprise framework following established development processes and procedures. Collaborate w/ functional leads to analyze business requirements, costs and benefits of a technical approach, and to develop proof of concepts or prototype designs.
• Support and contribute to software architecture, methodologies, and best practices. • Enforce standards at a technology and code level across projects. • Provide development estimates based on business requirements. • Coordinate and execute design reviews of code and data. Provide technical guidance and assistance to other team members. Estimate, plan and coordinate personal workload and, when appropriate, supervise development activities and staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, or related experience.
Experience: 3-4 years experience developing applications in a team environment with JDE Enterprise One, .Net, C# or similar technologies. 8 or more years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Oracle’s Enterprise One ERP and website technologies, including portal infrastructures, content management, security, and database interfaces. • Full software lifecycle development experience and data management experience. • Experience utilizing and applying Microsoft server components at both a systems level and application level. • Candidate should have excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate clearly and timely to users and other team members both verbally and in writing. • Experience with the following: Oracle/JDE Enterprise One, Visual Studio.NET, .NET Framework, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, C#, SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL Server, XHTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, CSS, Web Services, EBS.
