We have an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional tester with programming experience to join our team. As an integral member of the test group, you collaborate with other senior testers to continue to expand and grow our automation framework. Duties typically include developing test strategies for up-and-coming features; executing functional tests on various operating systems; developing automation; pinpointing and resolving nightly automation errors. You also perform system and regression testing. Qualified candidates must be experienced in all aspects of the QA lifecycle, which includes planning, designing and executing test approaches that best fit the situation. Qualified candidates must be effective at communicating and resolving barriers.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the sciences, or equivalent experience
Solid understanding and demonstration of QA methodologies
5+ years experience in commercial product testing
Experienced in an object-oriented programming language such as C++ or Java
Solid understanding of debugging concepts
User or testing experience with remote sensing or GIS applications
Well-versed in software development lifecycles
Good communication and organizational skills
Prefer experience in developing automation; Squish or Python experience is ideal
Multiple operating system experience preferred; we currently support Linux, Solaris, Mac OS and all Windows flavors
Self-starter with the ability to multitask
